New Philips Hue Devices Announced (September 2019)

( some of these are Bluetooth. That’s for people who want to use them without a Hue bridge. All of them will also work with a Hue bridge. The bulbs should be exposed to smartthings through the official integration. It’s unclear yet whether devices like the button will be. )

Lots of cool new toys. A redesigned go light, a button, a plug-in pocket socket, more bulbs including ones with filaments. And new less expensive E12 candle bulbs.

There are also new E12 candle bulbs, which Signify says gives you “more choice with your home lighting like chandeliers or ceiling fans.” These will be available this month at $32.99 for a two-pack.

Prices look pretty good for Hue items. The button will be $19.99 in the US.

Staggered release, with the first items coming in October but stretching out through the first quarter of 2020.

I was hoping to see z-wave instead of bluetooth, but well, they are actually interesting, especially E12 Candle lights, aka Edison bulbs.
