Is eve missing presence a lot here?
Eve is traditional PIR, but very sensitive . So it’s not detecting me sitting still at my desk. I added it to the mix to compare initial detection speed.
What’s the fp300 trigger speed relative to a pir notion sensor?
I have a lwr01 and find it slow compared to SmartThings (Aeotec) zigbee motion sensor
Should be a discount code in a few days
Just tried the code, takes £7.50 off but then postage adds another £9.99 bringing it to around £52.48 ![]()
Code only appears to work from eu site, code rejected on UK store.

It’s slooow here, but I just installed it and I think it has to do some AI learning first. The FP3 is blazing fast compared to the FP300.
What’s the firmware version of your FP300? Mine is 1.0.7.3.
Edit: 2 hours later and it’s much better now!
Do you have a lwr01 for comparison? If so is there much difference?
Nope…
Have you considered testing the tuya Zg-204zm?
I have 4 of them here at home and after some trial and error adjusting positioning and sensitivity settings, they are working very well.
Since they use PIR for initial motion detection, they are quite fast.
Nope, not tried those. I tried the sonoff one and gave up on it after a long trial period of over a year. Far too unreliable. Both at detection and clear down, it often stuck in detection and never cleared without a restart
I have that one in a cabinet somewhere. It kept getting stuck on presence and never clearing to no presence no matter how much I fiddled with the settings.
Sounds very similar to my experience with the sonoff presence sensor.
It took some time to get it right.
Posted my feedback in the proper post, not to deviate from the subject of this one:
Thanks! Now I need to decide if i’m going to leave the FP300 in Thread mode or pair it to my Aqara hub…
if you switch to zigbee with the Aqara hub… the battery life is up to 3 years
