What’s the difference from the current release model?

As far as I know, there is no difference. This is the Kickstarter reward marked “special edition” on the box. I’m not aware of any differences between this and whatever is out there now but if there is, I’m sure it’s a firmware update but you could shoot an email to UBI to get a definitive answer. I originally had 3 and I know that the one I gave away as a gift is working just fine and as advertised but again, check with UBI if you want to be absolutely certain.
