Hi all - I am moving to a new home next week. I have a been carrying around the same smartthings hub for probably 8 years - 3 or 4 different places since then. I have many devices that are no longer with me. One funky device in particular, a philips hue hub that is doing a routine I cannot seem to find and remove anywhere. I am thinking about just trashing everything and buying all new stuff since my hardware is likely antiquated. Let me know your general thoughts on how to outfit the new house. I will be living in this one a long time…so long as my wife doesnt kick me out!
since you are moving… with the philips hue hub… you should simply remove any devices attached to it, reset the hue hub and start fresh. That should resolve that issue. The Hue hub (2nd generation) is not antiquated and doesn’t need to be replaced but if you have the 1st generation that is basically useless and would need replacing.
As for the rest… if you can provide more details on what you have … we can probably provide better advice. which ST hub do you have? zigbee/z-wave/wifi/matter devices in your set up? any preference?
