Migrating to Aeotec

that is correct. it states the SmartThings hub (2013) or early version in the email.

the v2 and v3 are not being phased out.

Well that is good news! However I have a Aeotec hub now with no purpose . I now ask you all-- is there any-- ANY - benefit to moving to the Aeotec? Or Just stay put? (frankly i DONT want to change hubs) but if someone thinks different- please say so!

no benefits. it is the same hardware that is just rebranded as Aeotec.

LOL!!! Well there you goā€¦ I guess ill post this on Ebay then!!!

thank you So much!

The (2013) version is the V1.

The (2015) version is the V2.

The (2018) version is the V3.

So you are correct: you donā€™t need the Aeotec and thereā€™s no reason to migrate. Itā€™s the same as the hub you already have, just with a different logo. :sunglasses:

I just got the same response from ST support, that there is NO tool or any other way for that matter, to migrate from one hub to another. Has anyone found a link to migration tool? Or is there an easy way to migrate devices using the online API?

I have the ADT hub, so I donā€™t know what version that falls under, and new Aeotec hub.
Thanks!

there is only a migration tool for v2 and v3 (which includes aeotec) hubs. unfortunately, there isnā€™t one for the v1, st-adt or the wifi mesh with plume.

That is very disappointing, especially since switching hubs is required by Smartthings.

The previous email said I need to delete the location. So I canā€™t add the Aeotec hub to same location, delete all the devices off ADT hub, add all devices to Aeotec, then delete ADT hub from location???
