Have setup Lutron Ra3 with 50 devices of various types, and linked Smartthings to the account. However, not all devices appear in ST,
Have done the reboot, deleted link, all without success. The smartthing is using cloud (not a hub), and the Lutron is using the RA3 processor and can see each other without problem. It is a little odd that they don’t all come into ST with the same names, and are in some cases getting assigned to different rooms from where they live in Ra3.
The Lutron/SmartThings integration has never covered all Lutron device types. The proprietary nature of the SmartThings architecture has always required that each new model be added one at a time, and they just don’t always get around to everything. So the first rule of home automation applies: “the model number matters.“
Fair enough, but RA3 is clearly working, and each of the devices I am using works, just not all showing uo smart things. That is the odd part.
In some cases, a dimmer is missing from a room, and in other cases it might be a 2way. Over the 50 switches installed at least one of each type listed below is working perfectly.
The specific switches include: RRST-PRO-N-xx(dimmer), RRST-8ANS-xx(2 way), RRST-RD-xx (this is a companion switch type), and RRST-HN3RL-xx (hybrid 3 button keypad)
As a side note, given I am using the Smart things cloud, the list on the iphone app match the devices on the Samsung TV smartthings app.
OK, if you do have at least one device of each model type working, then it’s not a matter of the model identification.
At this point, I believe Lutron owns the integration (That is true of most third-party integrations, but there are a few exceptions), so I would at least try getting in touch with Lutron support and seeing what they say.
