I’m hoping it just got moved. Anyone know where?
They dropped it. Probably a mistake. You can still do it through the IDE. See the instructions in the following post:

You can still do it through the IDE, but it’s not intuitive.
click on “community” at the top right of this page.
Two) click on “developer tools” at the top right of the first page of the community section.
Three) sign in with your SmartThings account
choose the “my locations” tab
on the list of your locations, choose the one where you want to add a new mode. This will open its location detail page.

scroll down until you see the list of your existing modes. It’s not obvious, but there is a clickable link called “create new” at the top of that list. Click on it.

this will open a page where you will be able to add a new mode.

Guys, ST has a lot of courage to remove the mode feature. We have been relying on this ancient technology far too long. It has to go in order for us to move on to the next great thing.

Out of curiosity what’s your thought here? What’s the next great thing and how does removal of modes facilitate it.

Really? I must migrate to a new hub due to a bad firmware update and this blows my mind that a simple necessary function has been removed from the app. I know I can use the IDE but what about those who never want to touch the IDE?
