I just saw these bulbs on Ebay and got excited because they look to be just what I need at a sensible price.
Thought I’d check to see if they are supported by Smartthings.
3 years of messages here but the bottom line seems to be NO they are not supported. Pity.
Maybe the author of this post could edit the first message to say that the thread is dead.
@jorourke whilst they aren’t supported by ST directly like many items, community members have come up with ways to integrate items to work with ST.
In this instance @jared had a brilliant project to integrate these lights into ST. That projects thread can be found here Device type for MiLight / EasyBulb / LimitlessLED Wifi controller
By the middle of last year there were about 30 people utilising the above project to use the lights with ST.
Unfortunately he has retired the project, but has kindly open sourced the code for those with an interest.
So whilst the lights in question aren’t supported, community members have created projects successfully to get them to work with ST.
@KellyDarren Thanks for the information, I had read that thread before posting in this one. in total over 300 messages. It would have been useful if the author had edited the first message in this thread to indicate that the project was no longer supported. It would have saved me (and others) a bit of time. It seems that the project had limited success and is now longer support (dead) so I will not invest in these sensors. I’ve decided to try the Orvibo ones instead, they support Zigbee HA.
@jorourke which orvibo sensors are you looking at? Do you have a link?
