LIFX/Smarthings LAN integration?

Hi All

I was hoping if anyone had any information on LIFX LAN integration with SmartThings? As LIFX has LAN API capability the issue/action is with Smartthings? Any indication this will change?

Hopefully someone has a work around? 3-6 seconds delay is out of control.

Thanks
Todd

I migrated two LIFX Beam lights using the community edge driver from @BarryA

It took a few goes, but I got it working eventually. You have to unlink the LIFX service first and delete your LIFX lights before installing.

As @skinnypope mentioned, there is an existing community – created integration that will work as long as you have a SmartThings/Aeotec hub.

In the future, you can search for these by checking, the quick browse lists in the community-created wiki. :sunglasses:

Alternatively, you can just wait and see what happens once both companies have implemented Matter support. That might offer a local integration without needing any custom code. But we will just have to wait and see on that one.

so what you saying is you unlink the cloud integration between smarthings and lifx then do you delete the lights from the Lifx app, Smarthings, or both?

Delete from ST app, no need to delete from LIFX

If you have this new edge driver installed, then adding a new device by using “scan nearby” should pick up your LIFX lights (although I recall it took a few goes).
