And on a lighter note don’t get caught smoking outside my your missus. I did caught smoking an e-cig! And she didn’t talk to me for a day and night!
I thought you said you quit! Take care of that ticker!
It’s an e-cig with vapor only! I got stressed with harmony setup and was “vaping”, grandpa!
she says she is not tech savvy but hell she is a teacher? Where did the kid go and what’s the trouble! My missus!
There was a firmware update this morning. The biggest change made was to the dusk-to-dawn settings, to make them more sensitive and more accurate. The next step as per Kuna in this process will be specific sunrise/sunset by location - but that’s a few weeks out still. They also released some additional stability improvements, for users who were seeing offline and connection-based issues ( I faced it only once for a few minutes since owning it).
They will soon be releasing the sunrise/sunset by specific location in the coming weeks, so I am pretty excited about that one!
Love the Kuna’s. I have a hue plugged into it for Halloween and using OnSwitch app to change colors on the bulb synchronized to music . Wish I could share it here but cannot upload a .mov file.
What do you do if you have more than 1 light fixture on the front of your house? Do you have 1 Kuna with other mismatched fixtures?
If Kuna had matching “dumb” fixtures, I would get a Kuna. But I’m not willing to suffer a permanent WAF hit by having 2 fixture styles on the front of our house.
They have matching companion lights which basically doesn’t have the camera and motion detection. Check out getkuna.com.
And just to clarify I am in no way associated with Kuna. Just like their product.
Hah. Ok I stand corrected and will have to search their site again.
Thanks.
I think (my wallet just weeped a little).
I believe Amazon only carries one specific smart model in one color right now.
The manufacturer’s site has 3 styles, 2 colors, each with an available “dumb” companion light also available.
Amazon now carries all 3 models, but still just the one color.
Kuna has the best choice. The antique bronze is the best. I am Amazon Prime member but ordered thru Kuna because they had the color and to support a small company which deserves a chance as their product is genuinely good. My first order was from Amazon though.
Disclaimer: I am not associated to Kuna.
Mine should be arriving tomorrow. I look forward to being part of the club.
Looking to buy a second Kuna, but they tweeted that they will be at CES next month. Any idea if they are coming out with a new model?
New features, yes! New model: Not sure!
// Not a Kuna representative! Just love it.
If you guys buy kuna though please mention “Ranadip Sarkar” and hook up with Nicole Gear at support. They will be extra special to you. I gain nothing.
hope some reference related brownie.

And all of friends, please ping me till I am out this mess.
You can set the light into always-on and then use a smart light bulb, though. I’ve got GE-Links in mine and have them separately automated.
Of course, that risks the light not being on when a recording starts overnight.
Was there any way to link it with SmartThings? I assume not at this point. But perhaps I just missed the code somewhere?
What I wanted most of all was the ability to have a motion sensor outside trigger the light. I would set it Blue during the day (Hey, I see you, please behave), White when I am home, and Red (Warning, you must be an intruder) late at night. But since no outdoor motion sensors seem to work well, I haven’t done that. So I thought I might just use this light to compromise. But since hue bulbs don’t come on to their last preset color, I don’t think I can do the variable color thing. Oh well, no biggie.
Hi,
There is another promotion going on at the Kuna website.
$30 off on a single Kuna, $50 off on a bundle, with the following promo code: B2SCHOOL
Regards.
I want another one, but I’m going to wait for the HomeKit version.
@JDRoberts Miss you all guys so much. Yeap, still here! Too involved with the election right now! Trying to exclude the not so smart thing out of the mesh.
