I want to play music from my Ultra Slim bar and Music Frame. I have gotten this to work for a brief period until my frame lost connection to smart things. I needed to split my Wifi, 2.4G and 5G, and restart my devices for the music frame to be able to connect.
Now both my speakers is connected to the smart things and I can see them under my devices, but I can’t find a way to group them together. Before the restart I could clearly group when I click under any of the speakers, but now I cant find it.
I had the same issue with the smartthings app on my Iphone. I installed an old version of smartthings on my old Android phone. This phone is now used only to enable stereo / group function for two VL350’s. Strange indeed that this feature has been removed
I am not sure if this solution works for you, but I have been using Samsung AKG VL350/550 speakers for many years, and they used to have the issue as well. In my case, the audio group/stereo feature would just not appear in settings despite the manual saying that it should.
Many years ago, I found out that there was a glitch in the extensions of these speakers. You can make the audio group/stereo feature appear by doing the following:
Put your devices in Wi-Fi mode;
Open one of the device settings;
Go to network status and hit the refresh button;
Then go back to your device control, hit the 3 dots in the upper right corner and the feature will appear.
I have no idea why this works like this, but there is a high chance that the glitch exists in other speaker extensions as well.
