In reading the developer docs, it would imply that SSPD discovery
protocol must be supported on a local device. I have several custom
programmed devices on the LAN that I would like the hub to directly
interact with. Is there a method to manually specify the MAC address,
IP# etc. to register a device/Thing to the hub, since the device does
not handle SSDP (but I know the MAC, IP and ports)?
Yes, you’ll have to input those manually in the settings section of your smart app or device handler.
