The ability to use software authentication for HomeKit.
If there’s a smart camera, doorbell, light, garage door opener, or any other smart home product that you wish worked with Apple HomeKit, this new option means it’s all the more likely to become a reality.
I hope this will greatly expand the number of devices that work with both smartthings and HomeKit, but of course we’ll have to wait to see. There are a few now, but not many because previously it required a hardware change.
