HVAC 5+2 or Everyday app with unlimited schedule

I have a Honeywell YTH8320ZW1007/U Z-Wave Enabled Programmable Thermostat. The unit itself allows me to schedule 4 different temperature changes during the day, but I’d like to have 5 or 6+. A 5+2 day would probably work just fine, but being able to adjust every day would be nice.

Do I need a SmartApp for this or can I do it all with automations? It seems I can set the heat/cool temp at a given time, so can I just make 5 or 6+ automations and be good to go?

I found the “Ultimate Customizable Thermostat” by RBoy that seems like it would do the job, but I wasn’t sure if it was worth paying the fee to join.

I did some testing with automations and it performed the first one (adjusted the temp at a set time), but didn’t perform the second one (adjust the temp a few minutes later.)

I’ll definitely do some additional testing, but maybe that’s why apps are available???

You could use webCoRE.

As far as @RBoy Apps, they are of great quality and I personally use his DTHs and Apps. Good stuff for the small fee.
