I’m not entirely sure if this is a SmartThings things, or a Hue thing, however I’ve just setup my lightstrip in my office and im wondering if its possible to get it to do things when something happens.
Something like say:
Facebook Notification -> Flash Blue
Email -> Flash Orange
Motion Detected on Camera -> Flash Green
The hue has an alert command that would let you flash, or you could use a smartapp to flash them. It’s the triggers that are harder to come by. Facebook notification? Via IFTTT maybe? Email via IFTTT will have random delays in the minutes order. Video camera movement if your DTH for the camera provides that…
That’s exactly what I’m looking for, I have a deaf brother and would love to integrate these notifications light for him. I have connected the echosmart rgb light bulb and i’m desperate to find an app that can help
