Hubs in fridge and tv?

Hi, i own a Samsung TV and fridge both claim to have a hub in it. Does anyone know please what type of hub. I have several matter devices and they won’t communicate with either

Are these Matter over Wi-Fi or Matter over Thread devices? While more recent Samsung home appliances may have built in Zigbee/Thread radios, older ones require an external dongle for those and so only support Wi-Fi by default.

Hi there, thnak you so much for getting back to me. Please excuse me as i am still very much learning about all of the different protocols and the needs and requirements. Wheni try connect to the item (its a PIR with wifi connection and smartlife backend)

The TV will work as a SmartThings hub for WiFi and bluetooth devices so you can connect the fridge to it and monitor the fridge.

If I was you I would acquire the Aeotec Smart Home Hub 2 (newly released) so then I could control matter and zigbee devices. Then you can have things like smart lighting, window and door sensors, water leak sensors, smart door locks, human presence sensors, smart smoke alarms and smart outlets.

Thank you so much. Apparently my fridge is supposed to be a hub also.. do you know if the fridge is?

I currently have about 90 wifi smart devices in my home however they are mostly grid connect (tuya backend) as well as moes, tuya or smart life. I have sensors, lights switches, circuit brekers, matter rocker switches, presence senors. I am starting to acquire more matter enabled devices so i can get a better understanding of how things work as well as how well they communicate to various platforms.

I was hoping that any matter devices i get will communicate with the tv or fridge as they will be the bridge with their supposed hubs. Meaning i dont need to buy another hub

So far nothing apart from Samsung has worked or connected to SmartThings

I don’t I think they have hubs at all, despite being listed as having them. They do have a capacity to go online and link to your smartthings account which can be linked to other online accounts such as Aqara, so you can have some limited access to those linked devices via the fridge (or I assume the TV) but I don’t see any extra connectivity that you would associated with a hub.
