I don’t have any Manage Thread network in my Hub settings.
I wanted to use the unifying feature for thread networks.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

which hub do you have? firmware version?
Aeotec V3 59.00008
iOS or Android? do you have the latest version of the app?
Yes sure, the android one on a Samsung S25 Ultra.
btw, Thread is working fine for what I can see.
is the hub part of a hub group?
When I looked at my V3 which is a secondary hub in a group - Settings is not showing. Which is strange! It has been there previously. My V4, which is the primary, is showing Settings and Manage Thread network.

It is part of a location with 2 separate hubs (the V3 and a V2), which are not configured as an hub group (because I need them mostly to handle more devices). So that could be the issue, but it’s basically a bug, there’s no reason for it. Thank you!
@nayelyz any chance to report this to developers?
Now that you mention it, I don’t have it on three out of four hubs either. That’s definitely a change of behaviour but I can’t date it.
All are V3 hubs.
The one that has the option to manage thread networks is my beta hub that has it’s own thread network but doesn’t have any thread devices on it. It is allowing the thread network to be shared but not merged to another network. That doesn’t seem correct because I have another thread network …
The other three are standalone V3 hubs that were once in a hub group. The old secondaries stayed on the old primary’s thread network when I removed them from the group (which was unexpected but what I wanted). They are kept as hub replace candidates as well as extra TBRs. The remaining hub is my main hub and that has plenty of thread devices.
I just switched to another phone with a different account on it. I noticed it updated ‘Manage hubs’ and also downloaded a new plugin for the hubs. It has the same issue.
Hi, could you please help us with the following so we can continue investigating the issue?
- Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select Menu (⋮) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.
More info about this access here: https://support.smartthings.com/hc/en-us/articles/36170233944852-Enabling-Account-Data-Access-for-Support
Thank you very much for your help!
I don’t know if this was a coincidence or not, I swear it’s 3 weeks that I’m checking that menu, but the Thread Settings just appeared in my app.
I’m still not seeing them.
Hi @orangebucket please let us know if you’d like to move forward with an investigation. If so, we’ll need the requested information in order to open it.
I’ll just hold off a bit to see if anything more changes as one of the ‘empty’ hubs has now regained the setting.
I note that the hubs missing Manage Thread network in the Settings menu are also missing Thread network in the Information menu.
with the iOS app update today, Settings is once again showing for my V3 hub.
I’m getting this as well.
I now need the thread password to add a device, and I can’t see it…
Did anyone ever get this problem resolved? I have the exact same problem; the “manage thread networks" option is not available in my SmartThings hub settings.
Using the SmartThings Hub V3 with FW version 059.00008 and Android app version 1.8.41.23.
Edit: actually turns out I have the Aeotec Smart Home Hub (aeohubv3eu).
I never had any direct response to my report but it seemed to be a recognised issue so I’ve not been too concerned.
It remains an ongoing issue for me, affecting two or three out of four V3 hubs whenever I check. Other symptoms are a lack of thread network information under Information in the device details option menu in the app, and the dbus error (‘maximum number of pending replies’) instead of thread data in the AWA.
I think it may have been addressed in the current hub beta firmware releases but as my beta hub is the one that has never had the issue I wouldn’t notice.
It doesn’t seem to have any bearing on my thread functionality apart from being unable to do any tweaking.
Thanks for the reply, it actually seems to have been resolved (for now) for me with a power cycle of the hub (first time ever that power cycling solved something for me! Amazing!)
Now what remains is to figure out if/how I can join my Google TV Streamer to my SmartThings thread network (not the other way around), anyone know if that is possible? (Tried scanning the QR code generated in SmartThings but Google Home didn’t accept it.
I just rebooted three hubs (all with the issue, though only two had when I looked a day or two ago) and they are also OK for the moment. However a number of other users have reported the same and that the issue returns.
