I have a virtual hub and a device in my app. I cannot figure out how to remove them either in the app or via the IDE. Any assistance would be appreciated! 
You can try to delete the location, but you will loose everything attached to the location. Ie devices, hubs, automations. If there is stuff in the location you don’t want to loose the support articles below should help.
