Hello I'm @gausnes, how can I help

IIRC, that feature never was available for the UK. Although I might be misremembering since UK accounts were introduced at about the same time that the contact book went away.

@aaron ?

You have to admit that this can be a scary place and not for the thin skinned or faint of heart
. Especially if you have that little ā€œstaffā€ icon by your name.

Exactly,if the only consumers were the semi-regular contributors to this forum ,I am sure it would be as fond a memory as Wink and TCP connect.
Those are the ones on FB or posting questions on Home Depot and Lowe’s websites. The ones that bought the " whole home kit" with 1 PIR, 1 O/C sensor and a hub. Then went big and added a couple light bulbs or wall warts. So now the light comes on when they open the door. Yes those are the main target consumer.
I got into a discussion with the HA " specialist" @ local HD a while ago. She has Wink hub, a lock and a couple light bulbs. Her whole house is automated. Just about then my watch went off, 1st was notice that wife had unlocked the door, 2nd was picture of wife walking in the door. When " specialist" picked her jaw and tongue up off the floor, it was just " how do you do that ? Do you own a HA company or something ? I was impressed because I can unlock the door and turn 3 lights on/off from my phone " .

It was 1980, I was 12 years old and my new Jr high school had just gotten 6 TRS-80 for the new computer lab. I got excused out of my math and science classes for 7th and 8th grades because I had a few books on Basic, was teaching the teachers how to use the computers. I managed to write a clone of asteroids , then pacman, and a couple other arcade games during study halls. ( which my " best friend" whose father worked for Digital or IBM or something took my CASSETTE TAPES ( no floppy drives) home because he actually had a computer to play them on. His father saw him playing MY GAMES and sold them to somebody and I never saw a nickel) I didn’t even know until I walked into a radio shack in the mall and saw them running/ for sale.
Then I went to high school. They had a Digital system with 20 or so work stations. I brought in some of my books on Cobol started playing around.( instead of just doing the data entry we were assigned ) They were not as impressed and I got myself thrown out and banned from ever going in there again after about 2 weeks. About then I realized girls like guys with fast cars more then computer geeks. I blame Kelly ( or was it Heidi ? ) whats her name for me not being a billionaire computer genius and retiring at 20.

Okay enough reminiscing about " good ole days" that weren’t that good.

If anybody is still reading my only platform question I haven’t seen mentioned already is the daily failures with Alexa integration the last few days. Tired of her " the device ____ is not responding please check it’s network connection" , or " Okay" yet nothing fires.

So I managed to get my contact book enabled, there is documentation if you scroll down in that thread that @SBDOBRESCU posted. I’d assume this functionality is hidden because it doesn’t provide complete notification functionality. If you enabled the beta awhile ago it looks like you were grandfathered into having contact book functionality now.

And there are known bugs with the contact book beta (ie, we would be more than happy to remove it from your account upon request)

Hey, big shout out to Sarah in support. We’ve spent some time last week trying to troubleshoot the my contacts issues and she really showed interest in resolving the problem and not once did she take the easy way out of ā€˜I can remove it for you’!

Thanks for the kind words - Sarah is a badass. I will convey the feedback!

I’m UK based and works for me. @CSC check this link if you have access to an android phone or tablet.
