Green or eco app?

Back before the demise of Groovy, I had a Smart Home lighting automation or something that would let me make multiple lights turn off if left on more than say 20m. What I’m looking for is the power-reminder kind of experience and control to deal with folks leaving closet, lights, bathroom, lights and the like without having to do a power-off-after automation for each light.

Previously I could set a time (say 10 or 15m), and then just add lights/switches to that rule… a virtual switch doesn’t do it. I want the lights to share timing but not control. For example, if the pantry light is left on more than 10m and then a bathroom light is left on more than 10m - each one times out independently. Can’t figure a good way in ST now to do this…

Yes, I could do motion sensors and such, but IMO, should be able to do this again.

You can create individual routines like “if bathroom light is on for 10 minutes turn it off”, but you’ll indeed need one per room.

I don’t think there’s a way, at least locally executed, to apply “a template” so to speak to multiple devices at once.

You can probably do it using SharpTools but I imagine it would require the premium version.

agreed, but … yuk

Me neither, only variations on the sledgehammer approach. I didn’t realise it could ever be done with stock automations, unless Smart Lighting did it with the Power Allowance (or something like that) and I didn’t notice. The Auto Turn-Off in the current Smart Lighting turns all the devices off at the same time relative to the last one switched on.

one per switch…
