Is the Index still working? I have tried my key and it won’t accept it. I think it’s the correct one as I’ve three devices working with it already but trying to get the device ID for another new one.
yes, it is still working. added a light strip last week. I did once have to email Govee for a new key and it worked properly ever since.
OK seemed to be an issue with the app getting the Device ID’s the developer has a fix on his Git Hub
Hi All, i have been trying to turn on my govee led strip with my ikea motion sensor connected to ST for ages, i found that you could do it simple using IFTT Free veraion. But could only have one IF. And i wanted it to only vome on at night, if all the other main lights are off. To act as a sort of night light. My solution was to set up a virtual switch on ST. To only activate at night, when my main light was off, and the motion was actovated. And then then turn off virtual switch if no motion. Then in IFTT just add IF virtual Switch is on. THEN turn on Govee light strip. Do it this way meant i could make the preconditins as complicated as i needed to. And just use the free version of IFTT.
Hope this helps someone. As it was deiving me mad. As i couldnt get API to work, and dontbuse Alexa.
Hi Guys,
I had to rebuild my entire ST hub setup due to ST update which deleted EVERYTHING!! )-;
Since Groovy IDE is no longer avail is there an updated way to get this light strip configured?
No, the only Govee strip that will work is the M1 matter device. The rest can only be controlled with virtual switches in Alexa or Google Home
