I want an email! Where is mine? I guess I am not special enough
Make that 2 of us jkp
Thanks for posting these. I didnât get any e-mails! Gonna be a mess tonight
Thatâs funny.
Yeah. I removed SHM and donât have guest access. I also removed the part of routines that were changing the state of SHM. Migration fails both on my iPad and on my Android phone. I could try and remove 1 routine at a time and see how it goes I guess?
I jumped shipped and went DIY. Using Home Assistant has pretty much gotten me where I want to be transitioning from Smartthings. I have a few sensor and locks left and Iâll likely leave those on Smartthings. I just donât know if Smartthings can/will maintain the flexibility and the tinkering/community driven side of the product that has always been a core strength. Hopefully Iâm proven wrong, but weâve all seen products like this become crippled because maintaining more advanced features doesnât make business sense.
Would a fix for the location mode precondition not working be more likely a cloud side or mobile client fix? Because it is driving me bonkers.
I got 3(!) app notifications in the space of a minute that my alarm had disarmed when I drove up to my house today, even though other family members had been there all day and the alarm was already disarmed and in Home location mode.
Second most common answer: uninstall and reinstall the app (losing all Home screen customizations in the process). ![]()
Thanks @blake.arnold - updates like this really help. They will never give as much information as we would like and you are never going to make all of us happy but itâs great to hear something and helps restore confidence a little.
Fingers crossed for a substantial improvement in next monthâs release and I hope that increased resource availability having sunset the classic app will accelerate future progress.
Click âsubscribe to emailsâ on this page if you want to get the email notices. https://status.smartthings.com/
I subscribe to that and I havenât had any of the e-mails.
Just curious, how many hubs are there online around the world?
might be in your spam folder or your anti spam is blocking it.
I just migrated. Was able to get a clean migration once I removed references to the old Smart Home Monitor. Have questions about new app.
-
Can you not use the new scenes to set the new SmartThings Smart Home Monitor status like you used to be able to with routines?
-
I understand that you can no longer use 3rd party apps to set the status of the new SmartThings Smart Home Monitor, but, can you read the status of it? If so, what is the variable?
-
Under the old SHM, you could choose actions to be taken when an alarm occurred such as triggering sirens and lights. I see no settings for that here. Do they simply trigger all sirens? Or did I miss a setting somewhere?
Thanks yaâll.
Routines Are replaced with a combination of scenes and automations. See the community FAQ
you can use a combination of automations and scenes. find what works for you.
You can use virtual devices as a go-between STHM and 3rd party apps to achieve everything.
open STHM and click on the cog in the upper right of the screen and select set up responses in each section. You can set up sms if available in your region, push notifications, lights being turned on and audio
Thanks. Thatâs what I need for now!
What time today is it expected to happen?
Just going to put this hereâŠ
