Get ready to make the switch!

You are close  Set to ā€œstore in messagesā€ = true

OK thanks, but Webcore will continue to work? If yes where do I add this option?

When you select send push notifications, it is on that screen… right below the field where you input the message to send.

If you edit your pistons… click on the send push notification command in your piston and you will get the screen where you select it.

I think I already have that, take a look.

That is NOT correct.

That is the log to console command and not the push notification command.

Ah, I now vaguely recall something about that somewhere in the lengthy thread I scanned prior to migrating, but missed/forgot.

It would have been really nice (and normal business practice) had SS put together a complete checklist for the migration covering everything. I did receive an email indicating the need to update the Alexa skill – but even the link in that that I clicked on to perform that ā€œupgradeā€ did not work properly.

Thanks!

OK I can’t find that one?

The send push notification command is the line right above the log to console command which is the screenshot you attached above.

I screwed it up would you please look at this?

I have found something about that, a couple months ago when I started manual migration, I found out that one of the mode locations have different names in Classic and new App, now I have delete one old mode in IDE I do not want to keep using and still appears in New App, definitely something is happening about data source …

Click on the field…
Do Send Push notification ā€œyour laundry should be dryā€

OK then what do I change?

On the screen that pops up…
Look for tHe field labeled store in messages and select true

OK is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. Now you will get notIfications tHrough the new app.

Also, webcore can not control STHM in tHe new app directly like it could with SHM in the Classic app.

Thank you very much for the hand holding.

Some changes made, just don’t make sense. I use a lot of power related automations, and the way automations are done now they can’t be done. As long as WebCore works I think I will be OK.

My default DH still works.

Webcore for St will continue to work until they shut down the remaining parts of the groovy IDE (12/31/2020). After that you are limited to the ā€œautomationsā€ native in the new app. No one is working on a port of WebCore for the new ST API because it isn’t possible.

Although, by then parts of ā€œautomationsā€ will run locally (as promised)… lol
