We have a brand new rules engine that webcore can take advantage of and @625alex is looking at moving his product to our new development platform.
That said, some of your questions are related to the developer tools rollout that is underway and the app migration which this thread is focused on. Right now we are only targeting the most basic users for migration and this is going to be a slow and steady processs.
There are many new developer tools that are going to roll out over the next quarter some in closed beta, but some will be visible sooner.
Without committing to timelines these are some of the things you will see soon
- Custom Capabilites and UI Meta Data Generation
- SDKS and a CLI for Developers
- New ways to connect hub connected devices
- Easier ways to integrate your cloud services
- Rules and Behaviors enhancements including local processing
