GE Z-Wave Plus In-Wall Smart Switch Toggle - Use With Fan?

Hello,

I have a few GE Z-Wave Plus In-Wall Smart Switch, White Toggle (14292) switches laying around and was wondering if it’s possible to use these to replace a switch connected to a ceiling fan.

I know that I will not be able to control fan speed, and I am fine with that as I can control the speed from the pull chain on the fan. I basically just want this to operate like a dumb on-off switch for the fan.

Is this possible or will it cause problems? I’ve read conflicting information on if it’s possible or not and would like to get a solid answer before I swap out the switches.

Thanks in advance!

no problem.

As long as it’s within this spec then you are OK.
