Another functional solution that I found, after the tap to run failed for me:

  1. Go to http://my.smartthings.com/, advanced user, and devices
  2. Make a new device as a switch, I would name it whatever your Tuya device is, with “ST” at the start or end
  3. Make sure both ST and Tuya/similar are linked to google home
  4. Create an automation in google home for on and off:
    1. "ST switch on “ → “Tuya switch on”
    2. “ST switch off” → “Tuya switch off”
  5. Test from ST. You should be able to control the light via the virtual switch in ST, through the google automations.
  6. Add to routines as you wish.
