We tried to add one new device profile for the new device model, but noticed there’s error on top as what’s shown in the screenshot. We now can’t test the operation of the device(s). Any suggestions here? We would like to make sure the future certification won’t be affected and the updated device profile can work properly with the newly added device model.

Once a cloud connector is certified, it’s not possible to add new device profiles directly.
What you can do is add the new profile ID to your connector and modify it locally or in your testing environment to see how it works. If you’d like to make the changes in the workspace, you’ll need to go through the manual certification process.
Does this new model have additional functionalities? As mentioned, you can modify it internally and run your tests, but make sure to complete all the necessary tests first. Keep us updated on your progress so we can proceed with the certification process if needed.

No extra features are added, but got one new model fan with two sets of light control. (The certified project includes fan with only a set of light control.)
We’ll use our developer account to test and is expected to be finished in 2 weeks.
About the manual certification process, are there any steps or documents for us to follow and refer to?

Could you please provide the JSON files (including the ID of the profile) for both the certified fan profile and the new fan profile with the two sets of light control? You can send them via DM or to build@smartthings.com if that’s easier. This will help us better assess if the changes require a full certification or if we can proceed with certification by reference.
