I have a low pressure septic system and need to monitor when the pump turns on and off in real time and trigger a smart light to come on and off.
Basically, waste water from the house goes into a small septic tank that has a pump and a float. When the waste water gets high enough for the float to trigger, the pump is engaged and forces the water into the city sewer system. Once the float comes back down the pump shuts off.
I don’t want to put any device or sensor inside the tank. Attached are two pictures of the control panel for the pump/float.
I have a Smartthings Hub v3 US. Any thoughts?
