(EDGE Driver-Mc): Zigbee Light Multifunction Mc

Hello Paul,

I have a bunch of older Wiz lights and strips, and only a few newer ones that are actually Matter suported.

Wiz to ST C2C integration/linking works fine but with an immense delay.

I know it’s a long shot, but is there maybe a driver out there that could work with these old non-Matter Wiz lights, so I could add them locally?

And not sure about the Matter ones … they were automatically included in ST after syncing it with Wiz, once I added them to Wiz, cloud execution as well. But maybe these can be included some other way (Matter?) so they’re local?

I depends on how old your Wiz bulbs are, some can be converted to Matter.

To convert WiZ bulbs to Matter, you need to ensure they are a compatible model produced after Q2 2021, update them to the latest firmware using the WiZ v2 app, and then go to Integrations in the Wiz v2 app and generate the Matter codes.

See the following for more details:

I believe I converted what I could to Matter already,

But there are still quite a few that are older than that. Any hope for those poor old bulbs?

Without Matter capability your choices are the c2c integration or using a middleman such as IFTTT, Alexa, or Google Home. I would expect a middleman to be slower that the c2c integration.

Ah ok, that’s what I thought. I guess I’ll settle to c2c then
I can say it is actually quite reliable, just slow

I tried the Mc driver but it doesn’t see it… but what happened to this community?

I am using a Gledopto LED Driver over Zigbee. GL-C-008p. For some reason, no matter what color I set my lights to in the SmartThings UI, the color has no relation to the actual color. Has anyone seen this? See below. Set to green, the color goes almost white. I am using RGBCCT LED strips. Any ideas?

If you set a color with low saturation (in your image, the pointer is in the middle of the selection box) Gledopto lights tends to be almost white.
You need to use a higher saturation (select the color with the pointer close to the bottom of the selection box).

Can I ask you politely?
LED Bulk E26 1055 Lumen, Smart Wireless Dimming/White Spectrum Glove products desperately want 2200k to appear in the option window.
The other Ikea bulbs go down to 2200k, but this guy is the only one going down to 2700k.

Look for this option in the device config and select the correct profile for your bulb. From the specs in product page, the range is from 2200k to 4000k.

Thank you very much, bro. I was stupid not to take a good look.

Just a heads up. My ZigBee lights using your driver stopped working today. While checking I noticed that you updated the driver earlier today.

I have switched to the stock ZigBee Switch driver and everything is working again.

@Mariano_Colmenarejo How to force update the driver please? Thanks

If you’re using the command-line interface (CLI), you can install it with the command .\smartthings edge:drivers:install.

Some users report that if you try to uninstall the driver, it won’t let you because there are devices in use, but it will update itself.

Thanks. Wait wait for the driver to propagate through. Using the stock zigbee switch driver in the meantime. Thanks again

For this reason, I shouldn’t modify the drivers, as I could unintentionally make mistakes that corrupt them.

In this case, the modification was to update driver to firmware 59.x

@Mariano_Colmenarejo We are grateful for your drivers, omissions are accepted.

Btw, I updated driver manually, by deleting and reinstalling and things are back to normal. Thanks again.
