New to this group, so sorry if I’m suggesting something already discussed, but I have an idea to streamline the user experience for devices with additional features not supported by the smartthings app.
For example, I have a Tapo pan/tilt camera and I can get the live stream and log of detection events in the smartthings app, however the pan/tilt functionality is missing and you must navigate to the Tapo app. Obviously it would be ideal to have the pan/tilt control functionality in the smartthings app.
My idea is that when you select a specific device, there is a clear link to open the corresponding device manufacturers app with the added functionality (assuming that app exists for your current platform). You still have to go to the separate app, but you don’t have to remember which device is associated with which app and dig through to find and open that app. Furthermore, this will allow the user to simply use the system back function and focus will go back to the smartthings app.
Any thoughts on this?
