Has anyone ever investigated the use of E-ink labels at home? It occurred to me they could be useful for status reporting, eg showing if heating is running, or reminders or lots of other things if they could be automated and integrated with ST. I had a Quick Look on Ali express and could see some that work via Bluetooth and a phone app, no easy route to integration there.

Looks interesting, but not enough for me to spin up a home assistant instance just to use it. Was more of a whim than a necessity
Yes, but that way we could get a general idea of how these things work. The last time I did research, I was hitting a wall. There are gateways/bridges that translate the proprietary (radio) protocol, but it’s difficult to find out how to talk to them.
