I’m not sure if this is just the way things are supposed to work but if I want to look at my hub or its devices in the IDE the process usually goes something like this:
Tada! Now clicking on My Hubs/Devices/etc has my list of devices and I can do what I needed to do
I’m starting to develop muscle memory to go directly to graph-na02-useast1 when I need to use the IDE but sometimes my browser history suggestion decides to take the long way around (type “graph” hit enter). Is this working as intended? The only reason I could think of for the double login is if the standard use case is people have two different locations on their account that are on two different graph servers, otherwise shouldn’t it immediately redirect (and without a second login) to the correct server?
Somewhere along the line, they have a miscode in their Global Server Load Balancing for the IDE site. No one has taken the effort to correct the load balancer.
Well, it’s still a thing. The IDE has never been what I’d call “stable”, but it is literally demanding my UserID and Password between each screen change.
If I move from My Devices to My SmartApps - please login.
Want to open a smartapp? Login.
Edit the SmartApp - Login.
Save the SmartApp - Denied, but hit the back button and login again and I’m good to go… Frustrating.
Do you have another window open? I have seen something like this if I have smarttiles open and try to log in to the IDE. It keeps logging me out of the IDE and I have to log back in.
Thank you Megan. That certainly would not have been my first suspicion.
I tried today with and without SmartTiles open in another tab and, while I
was being prompted “only” every 5-7 clicks this time in the IDE with the
SmartTiles tab open, in the iDE I am being prompted exactly never with
SmartTiles closed.
Not 100% scientific but good enough for me to say Case Closed!
