Looking to add a chime for doors that open and close like a ADT security system does. Can anyone help with this?
I have been using this for my upstairs. More responsive than my old Dome Siren.
For my downstairs, I also have an Aqara Doorbell that has an indoor chime and I have an Aqara smart plug exposed to ST via Matter from my M2 hub acting as a proxy for open/close (on/off) with an Aqara automation to have my indoor doorbell chime make a tone on door open/close, in case you have something similar that could work.
I only have a ST hub and I’m having issues with the 1 Aqara device I have. So not really sure if i want any more of them.

I had issues with my Aqara devices when paired directly with ST. Once I got an Aqara hub and brought them in via MAtter from connecting the hub to ST, they have all been rock solid. I read reports of similar experience for others that led me to getting the M2 hub.
Yeah i have enough hubs I just want something that will work directly with ST

Been using a Dome Siren (Zwave) for my front door chime. It works well with only occasional delays.
I use a Ring keypad, paired directly with my ST hub.
