The Philips Econic is dimmable RGBW, Ring is just on/off white. The Econic is intended for landscaping effects, not just path lights.
Still not enough to convince me of the priceā¦
Inovelli has their new fan/light combo switch at CES. Two piece kit that has the combo switch with radios (zwave and 2.4ghz) and then a canopy module with the light and fan control electronics that communicates to the switch via 2.4ghz
Edit: Looks like they also have a stand alone fan switch, smart plugs and 4-in-1 sensor. Pre-order for the combo switch coming up and the 4-in-1 sensor coming soon. Maybe @Eric_Inovelli or @nathan_inovelli can fill in some details

What is this Smartcar? Is it the same OBD2 dongle what they showcased a few years ago and since that it has disappeared completely?
Dang, Iām not excited about any of this.
To be honest, the only thing I am really waiting on the ability to assign device types to Alexa rooms and IKEA blinds in the US.
Good question! Not really sure It looks like they are a middle-man between various car manufacturers built in stuff and other services by providing one API.
Edit:
[EDIT]
I needed to correct my prior post⦠SmartCar is a small city car developed by Daimler. The integration ST provided is a signal of possibilities for other automakers assuming they have an API available like SmartCar apparently does.
I use moj.io in my 2017 Mazda. The car hasnāt really got any connected car feature by default. The mojio OBD 2 dongle should give that additional touch. The only issue, mojio sells its hardware and software in different tiers. My mobile provider hasnāt got the tier for IFTTT integration when others, like in the US, have. So it is pointless to make something smart when it cannot be connected.
Meanwhile in Germany the same system for the same, but German mobile provider works with Conrad Connect.
I see quite pointless this connected car thing, when manufacturers uses years old hardware in a new built car and doesnāt maintain it well further on neither. (Android Auto and CarPlay should be different, but with older phone hardware they just lags, and my experience with AA is terrible, I cannot even select a Spotify song without some issue. And of course Assistant integration is terrible.)
I hope that someone would shake up things finally, but the chance for it is tiny. And again APIs will be fragmented and undocumented, is there any standard to follow?
I wrote to August asking if they had an expected date for the new August-ST integration and got this responseā¦
