Capabilities should granular and discrete.

Lux Measurement (sensor) is a different Capability than Shade Control (actuator).

It is a SmartApp that links the sensor to the actuator.

I assume that this is very similar to the Aeon Labs/Aeotec version here…

The Aeotec version is going to be ZWave compliant as well, so I would assume that it must have “standard” ZWave command sets and that capabilities could be taken from these in line with the ZWave structure.

Oh man, another thing to add to my list… looks like I will be in the attic again throwing wires for this stuff.

On the bright side it completely eliminates the needs for blind/curtain controls and I always thought they were pretty unwieldy and expensive. Wonder what the cost point of this is going to be. Seems like you can put one controller on multiple windows though.
