Yeah your Zooz sensor should be a good example of this! Question for you @lflorack, is that sensor running locally or do you have a custom DTH on it? How long is the latch time on motion?
It’s not running local. I’m using the custom @RBoy : ZooZ 4 in 1 Motion, Humidity, Illuminance and Temperature Sensor (Enhanced) DTH. It works very nicely.
I didn’t know the dead time after motion because I only use the LUX portion of this sensor. So, I just checked it and it’s about 1 minute and 20 seconds. The biggest advantage of this sensor (for me) is that I was able to(fairly easily) hardwire a power supply to it. I never have to worry about batteries for it.
Update: Go here for wring instructions: [RELEASE] Zooz 4-in-1 Sensor - #22 by rontalley
Simple and great idea. Thanks so much!
@TheSmartestHouse has mentioned a new Zooz multisensor is coming that is USB powered. They were hoping it would be available this summer but last I checked it will be late September. Maybe they can reconfirm. Wanted to throw this out there in case you can wait.
We’re still improving the hardware so it looks like late October before all certifications are completed but we’ll keep you guys posted!
Wait, are you ZooZ as well?
Zooz is our in-house brand, yes, same company
Honestly, that’s actually really great to know, I personally have been blown away by your customer support and your interaction with this community.
It increases my personal interest in ZooZ products knowing that you ARE them!
