The new Aqara m100 hub is now available for preorder, supposedly ships from 30th April.
Tempting cos it’s cheap (£19.99) but I don’t know I’d honestly have a use for it excepting I wanted more control over Aqara devices of which I currently have zero. Also it has a 20 device limit which seems too low to me other than for an early adopter just wishing to try stuff out on a small scale.

As a Matter bridge for Aqara devices is pretty cheap indeed.
Turns out SmartThings officially supports some Aqara devices only (ok, no ) when Matter-bridged, like the Aqara Cube.
In fact, it’s interesting that the stock driver has custom capabilities for the cube, which are supposed to be forbidden for WWST devices…

Thanks, somehow I though the cube wasn’t supported in Zigbee. It’s interesting they have a driver for Zigbee and another when bridged via Matter.

They should provide even more Zigbee drivers for their dual-protocol devices like the H2 Wall Switch.
Yep, a bit behind the times for a new device.
