Anyone using the new apple watch SE 2021 (has cellular and GPS activated on family sharing) as a presence with ST hub?
There is an old thread from 2017 which seems buried pretty deep on this forum.
I have 2 family members with this watch on stand alone plans and would be great IF it could be used as presence for each so they don’t take their phones to school anymore.

I would be interested in this as well. It has been several months since the first post…has anyone found a workable solution using an apple watch as a presence sensor in smartthings?
Unfortunately these are two competitive platforms , and neither of sides interested to do anything in this direction.
Presence sensing is a difficult topic , as it requires the device to send signals regularly which is bad for battery life.
