I guess.
I just think that if someone is going to risk a theft like that, it’s going to be for something more valuable than some cameras. Of course if there was zero risk, heck ya they’d steal the cameras. But there clearly isn’t. After all they are cameras and one presumes they are capturing what they see.
Why would you Want or Need? You need neither. The desire and logic is security in layers. The concept works for several reasons. One, backup. Two, verification. Three, forensic value/depth of information. Etc.
Also, there exist certain possessions that one may have - and outsiders may know about these through various means - that makes a break in for those particular possessions more likely than a random break in. However, the folks that would target if they had a opp to do so, would never risk a charge over the value of some cameras.
