Any suggestions on which app does this toggle on/off for me

So I installed dedicated zwave switches to perform things like open garage. Right now I can turn the switch on and it opens the door, but I want to leave the switch off all the time as it really doesn’t have anything wired to the load. So I want to turn it on and if it turn off again after performing the action.

I know I saw an app that did this, just can’t remember where

Why don’t you use a momentary button instead of a switch?

Thanks, are you suggesting I go into IDE and change the zwave switch device type to a momentary zwave device type. If so, fantastic, didn’t know you could do that.

No. I’m suggesting you create a momentary tile and link the actions to that tile. Go into the IDE,

My Devices, New Device,
Set the Type to ‘Momentary Button Tile’
Then link the action(s) to the button.

Take a look at Rule Machine as well if you haven’t already.

Thanks for that. I am wondering though how I link the virtual momentary device to the physical switch itself, so when you press the switch it simulates the momentary tile
