Any bulbs work with ST without extra bridge?

What an amazing and updated video on locally controlled bulbs (mostly Matter and ZigBee). Although my experience with the Nanoleaf is way better than his

THREAD™ — The future is now!

The link isn’t working.

What link?

I have several of the innr bulbs connected to my ST v3 hub. Never had any problems. Note that all my innr bulbs are E26, not that it should make a difference…

Thought you sent a link. DW

My hub is V2. Wonder if that’s the issue

It shouldn’t be a problem but of course anything is possible and I have no direct experience connecting the innr bulbs to a ST v2 hub. When you reset the innr bulbs did they blink to indicate that the reset actually happened? Also, did you let your ST hub find the bulbs when adding or did you scan the QR code on the bulb? Honestly don’t remember which method I used. And make sure to connect them one at a time.

No I couldn’t get it to blink, tried numerous times to make that happen.
If I scan the qr code it opens St and just stays on the prep page.

IIRC it did take me a few times until I got it to reset. It is finicky with the timing of the off/on cycles. Also, you may want to check all your rooms in the ST app just to make sure it wasn’t added somewhere. But my guess is that it needs to be reset before it will add correctly.

Ok I’ll keep trying and see if I can be successful!

I am android yes, but no didn’t get anything like that with either bulb.

Ok, thought I might have an alternative approach for you to try if you did.

Edit: Oops, got my threads crossed, Thought these were matter bulbs. :frowning:

Because your Zigbee bulb doesn’t speak Matter - like the Nanoleaf bulb, for example.

Just keep trying, and have the bulbs very near the hub (6 inches) while pairing. You can install them in fittings after they are paired.
I do not have innr bulbs, but I have lots of Ikea Tradfri and the ‘reset’ procedure is very fiddly; the ‘off and on’ times are around 1 second. It often took me 3 or 4 attempts to pair; but you get used to it, and once paired, they stay paired.

Ok will keep trying
