About once a day for the last week, all of my kasa devices go offline. If I reset my router, they connect again. Other devices on the same internet, 2.4ghz, are fine. Only kasa. It’s super annoying and I don’t know what is going on. Any thoughts?
TP-Link / Kasa is a cloud to cloud integration, have you tried unlinking and re-linking. Otherwise Kasa support can help you.
Yes. Also some devices have been linked fine for a year, some are new and only linked last week. But all of them go out at the same time together
Could you enable support access to your account so I can check its details, please?
- Confirm the email account registered in the forum is the same one you use for SmartThings. If not, please share it with me over DM.
- Enable support access to your account:
- Go to the SmartThings Web (my.smartthings.com)
- Log in to your Samsung Account
- Select Menu (⋮) and choose Settings
- Toggle on Account Data Access
- Select the time period and confirm - In this step, please select “Until turned off”, once the team finishes, we’ll let you know so you can disable it again.

The devices are currently showing as offline. If they come back online after rebooting the router, please make a note of the exact timestamp and share it with us. This will help the engineering team investigate the logs and root cause more thoroughly.
Ok. I have given account data access. And yes, same email address. Thanks
Hi @Emily_Williams
Thanks for the account access. Please follow these instructions:

I reset the router at 10:58 pm. And all the lasa devices came back online around 1059/11pm. Is that what you meant. Hopefully that’s helpful.
Thanks for the update! Could you please let us know how the devices have been behaving since the router reset? Have they gone offline again during this time? If so, please share the timestamps to help us validate the behavior.
I don’t know how to share timestamps. I’ve had to reset my router once a day for the last week.
Just curious … do they go offline in both the ST and Kasa apps … or only the ST app?
Both kasa app and smartthings
You mentioned adding some devices (Kasa?) last week which sounds like it aligns with when the issue started for you. If that is the case, what happens if you remove those new devices to see what happens with your remaining Kasa devices?
This doesn’t appear to be an ST issue since they are also offline in the Kasa app. If you haven’t already, you should contact Kasa support (link above). It could also be something going on with your Router but that is for a different time to figure out. Try removing the new devices, see if the old Kasa devices remain connected for a couple of days. Then try adding your new Kasa devices at a staggered rate to see if one of those is causing the issue. May be a slow process if you have the patience. ![]()
And check that the firmware is up-to-date on all the Kasa devices.
