I have a light fixture that is not connected to a wall switch that I would like to control via SmartThings and a remote or installed wall switch. It was previously a pull chain fixture that was wired to be on at all times and controlled by the pull chain. I would like to use the Aeon Labs Micro Controller to integrate with SmartThings but can’t seem to find a “wireless” switch option to control the light. Will ordinary Z Wave wall switches work if programmed with the micro controller even if the switch isn’t wired to the light? What solutions do I have to control the light fixture from a faux wall switch, button or remote so it is not only controlled by my phone and is wife friendly?
