Folks, does anybody know if ADT has monitoring plans for people who have the classic NonLTE hub? All we need is to integrate just with the ADT 24/7 monitoring service, and nothing else. Is that possible?
If not, can SmartThings help make that happen, please, so that even current SmartThings users, who haven’t or don’t want to buy the new ADTCellular hub can avail of 24/7 monitoring at a cheaper price?
Not possible and not likely to happen as ADT wishes to only put its name to UL – listed security systems, and without the cellular piece you can’t do that.
It’s the reason that the only devices which are allowed to trigger a call to the ADT monitoring center are the new dual logo devices, which are using a completely different communications protocol than the other smartthings – compatible sensors.
