I just wanted to let everyone know a few very irritating things about the new $550 ADT Home Security Starter Kit. I called support and was given this information:
There is no migration process from an existing hub. You must remove everything and re-add it to the new hub.
You cannot use automation (e.g. I’m Back, Goodbye) to set or disable the alarm. Allegedly this is due to how unreliable mobile presence is with the SmartThings app.
At this time, you cannot buy a second panel for another room.
Unfortunately, the second one is a deal breaker. It seems as though I basically had to spend $550 for a working motion detector and the convenience of a panel (just one, though). Hopefully this helps someone that might be on the fence about buying this system.
Has anyone else purchased this and were able to overcome some of the issues that I mentioned?

The fellas in the other ADT Topic discovered this was possible. There is some uncertainty at this point of whether this has now broken or just changed.
The ability to set Alarm Status was implemented in a reasonable and useful way (per the discovery); but was not published and is therefore unofficial, unsupported, and subject to change or block at any time.
Issue #1 (no migration process) is unlikely to be something that can be resolved.
ST promised a tool to migrate from v1 to v2 hubs when they released the v2 hub over two years ago. Then at the beginning of this year they announced they were abandoning it.
There’s no indication they’ll ever revisit the issue.
