Z-Wave Repeater

So I just installed a Schlage Connect door lock. I’m getting pretty bad performance out of it. It’ll usually lock and unlock when I hit the button, but not always. And it’ll sometimes take 5-8 seconds before anything happens. It’s also pretty bad at reporting its status when things happen. I have a Monoprice wall socket (this one: http://www.monoprice.com/product?c_id=122&cp_id=12212&cs_id=1221201&p_id=11995&seq=1&format=2) I want to move it close to the lock to see if it helps with performance. What’s the process for moving the socket and reconfiguring the mesh?

Should I just move the socket and run a zwave mesh repair? Should I power everything off for 15+ minutes, then turn it all back on? Should I exclude the lock, then reinclude it?

Thanks!

As long as the repeating device supports beaming, which that particular model does

Just move it within about 10 feet of the lock and then run a Z wave repair.

The power off process for 15 minutes is what you do to rebuild the mesh for zigbee devices. You don’t need to do that this time since these are zwave devices – – those get rebuilt with the repair utility.

It can take a little while for each individual device to rebuild its tables, so you may not see improvement until the next day.
