Your SmartThings data may now be powered by Grafana and InfluxDB

I hereby announce the immediate availability of “REST SmartThings Home”. It’s a tinkers project at this point but it allows you to build your own analytics environment for your SmartThings data using Grafana and InfluxDB. I’ve used this combo for about a year now and I decided to package it for others to roll their own. It’s fairly high touch at the moment but it has been radically simplified with Ansible, Docker and Vagrant. The idea is standing on the iotdb-smartthings project which enables REST access to your SmartThings data in a secure manner.

All the necessary bits to build and run this app is available on GitHub:

Enjoy!

SmartThings + Numerous = Awesome! (Update: Numerous is out of business)
Can Smartthings data be polled for ingestion into InfluxDB?

A guide/tutorial on how to make this work using a Raspberry Pi would be great!! Having everything live on the Pi is great for those of us who don’t have a Linux machine laying around.
