Why is Double Tap broken all of a sudden?

I just tried this on a pair of switches (3way) I bought from Lowes. If does not work. Is it working for anyone else or is it broken again?
Will it work with 3way switches?
I was really excited about this to be able to control my floor lamp plugged into an Aeon Labs Smart Energy Switch.
Thanks,
Scott

Mine is still working but with the three way switches, double tap only works on the “Master” switch and not the “slave”. The Master is the one that has all the z-wave bits in it and the “slave” is the other, lighter switch. Double tap is a touchy thing no matter how you look at it and you do have to get the switch pressing just right. I am told it has to be this way due to a patent on the way a double tap would be typically deployed.

Your right, it does seem to work as you described. It’s very picky And only works on the primary 3way switch.

Thanks for your reply. This is not as useful as I had hoped but it does work.

Any updates to this? My double tap response has always been a bit iffy, but it suddenly stopped altogether about 3 months ago.

Double Tap has always been far too wonky for me to actually use. I don’t anything has changed, it’s just consistently being inconsistent

Worked great till v2 migration. Now turns one with a single tap and off with 3 or 4… anyone else?

Removed all DoubleTap smartapps and readded, same issue. So, I thought till the system settles down, I’ll just set them to only double tap off, unfortunately that function don’t work for any of my switches at all (no response at all), also either does the “Only On”, strange…

Set back to On and Off and still have the intermittent ons with single taps and slugglish offs (3-4 taps) on all 4 of my double taps setup on 4 diff switches (none overlapping)…

I am a new user and haven’t been able to get it to work at all on V2 and Leviton switches.

I’m seeing this exact situation myself. Ended in my wife unplugging the lamp tied to the second tap as it would always turn on, and she couldn’t figure out how to turn it off, while I simultaneously told her that she was doubling tapping to turn on, and to stop doing that, thus only making things worse.

Got better last week end, but timing definitely different. Needs to be on the v2 whitelist for local processing to eliminate server and cloud delays. If I double tap a light on, I then have two lights on, then single off to get the original device off, I now get both items off if now major delay between processes. Sure wish dimmer devices were updated to allow double tap.

Can anyone confirm this works with Belkin Light switches? I have installed this app but double tap seems to do nothing.

Thanks
