Look into this app: “Dim With Me”. It allows you to setup a group of lights which can be turned on and off by pressing the main light on/off.

Virtual Dimmer and Dim With Me

Created a new SmartThings “Virtual Dimmer” and a “Dim With Me” app that subscribes to it. Now I have many dimmers follow in unison. One virtual dimmer for each room group. My Tasker Gentle Wake-up task drives now only the virtual dimmer and the subscribed lights follow. Also, I can set the virtual dimmer level with Tasker and Autovoice. No lag or pause between each light getting a command. It works faster/better than the actual wall dimmer switches. This stuff is too cool!

Also, Great review. I love my V2 hub. All the pros are same for me. The only thing I can tell you which I haven’t tested not for the lack of bravery. I.E. Wife Will send me packing is adding a Siren to the alarm system. V1 Hub was crap. When it set off my Siren, my wife almost killed me. The move to V2, has calmed her down, as now things are working smoothly. Will wait on adding a Siren to the Smart Home Monitoring for a few more month.
