This is exactly why I prefer plugs that monitor power vs just on/off plugs. Gives you more flexibility like you’ve implemented.
You can more than likely lower the time to turn off significantly because if it’s below 2w for more than 1 minute, it’s safe to assume that’s it’s off.
Host Pinger needs to run on an “always on” environment and I had it running on my windows server without issues. I switched to the little Pi3 because I was already running other scripts on it for ST.
Instructions for Host Pinger show a lot of different options but if your Piston is working then that’s great!
